La Guerrera's Kitchen

Reyna is passionate about serving her favorite recipes from her native Guerrero, including tamales, pozole, and barbacoa, which are all made from traditional family recipes. From humble beginnings at the mercados in Guerrero to selling delicious tamales across the Bay since 2002, Reyna opened a new brick and mortar home in Old Oakland.

The Guerrero region of Mexico is truly a magical place, from the coastline to lush mountains, with a vibrant food culture to match - rooted in a beloved tradition of cooking and eating the bounty of the sea. Reyna's hope is to bring together the community, and to inspire connection and conversation.
